# How to Connect RoboForex MT4 to Trader Journal

RoboForex is a Belize-registered broker with a range of account types. Here is the complete connection guide for MT4.

## RoboForex MT4 Server Names

- **RoboForex-Real** (main live server)
- **RoboForex-Demo** (demo accounts)

Some account types use dedicated servers. Check your server in MT4 terminal.

## Setup Process

### Install EA

Trader Journal app → Settings → Expert Advisor → Download MT4 EA. Copy `TraderJournal.ex4` to MT4 Data Folder → MQL4 → Experts. Refresh Navigator.

### WebRequests

Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequests → `https://api.traderjournal.app`.

### Attach EA

Drag to chart. Enter API key. Enable AutoTrading.

### Verify

Account appears in Trader Journal within 60 seconds.

## RoboForex Account Types

**Pro account:** Fixed spreads, no commission.
**Pro Cent account:** Same as Pro but in cent lots.
**ECN account:** Variable spreads from 0.1 pip, low commission. Commission captured per trade in Trader Journal.
**Prime account:** Low spreads, higher commission. All costs tracked automatically.
**R StocksTrader account:** Equity trading platform. Not compatible with MT4 EA.

## Troubleshooting

**Cents account lot display:** RoboForex Pro Cent lots display as standard in MT4. In Trader Journal, lot size reflects what MT4 reports. For accurate risk tracking on cent accounts, note that 1 lot in MT4 = 100 cent lots = 0.01 standard lot.

**High-frequency trading (HFT) notice:** RoboForex ECN is popular with scalpers. If you trade many positions per day, the EA handles all of them efficiently without any performance issues.
