This Privacy Policy explains how Fx Trader Journal ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile app and web dashboard. By using the App you agree to this policy.
The App does not require you to create an account with your name, email, or password. On first launch an anonymous identifier is generated (via RevenueCat) to associate your data with your device. A device-specific secret is stored securely on your device. Your anonymous ID also serves as your "recovery code" so you can restore your data on a new device.

The trade-replay chart fetches historical price candles from a third-party market datafeed. Only the instrument symbol, timeframe, and time range are sent for this purpose — no personal or account information is included in those requests.

On iOS, we request permission (App Tracking Transparency) before using your advertising identifier for personalized ads; you may decline. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings. Upgrading to a paid plan removes ads.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the App. This removes your trades, positions, equity history, journal entries, and screenshots from our servers. Deleting the app does not by itself delete server data — use the in-app option, or contact us.
Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). API keys are stored only as hashes on our servers, and your session credentials are kept in your device's secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
The App is intended for adults engaged in trading and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to certain processing. You can exercise access and deletion directly in the App, or by contacting us below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.

These Terms govern your use of Fx Trader Journal. By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Fx Trader Journal is a trade-journaling and analytics tool for MetaTrader 4/5 traders. It records and visualises trades that your Expert Advisor (EA) sends us. It does not place, modify, or close trades, and it does not connect to your broker on your behalf.
The App, its statistics, charts, and any content are provided for informational and record-keeping purposes only and are not financial, investment, or trading advice. Trading foreign exchange and CFDs carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all your capital. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and outcomes.
Trade data originates from your MetaTrader terminal, and chart prices come from a third-party market datafeed. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We do not warrant the accuracy of any figures and you should treat your broker's statements as the authoritative record.
The App offers a free tier (with advertising and a 6-month data-retention limit) and paid subscriptions. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and auto-renew until cancelled. Manage or cancel renewals in your store account; deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled under the applicable store's policy. Plan features and prices may change with notice.
On the free and basic tiers a new trading account may replace your previous one in line with your plan's account limit. You can delete your account and all data at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may remove data that exceeds your tier's retention limit.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading losses or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated. You may stop using the App and delete your data at any time.
We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
